Civil and Revolutionary War Tour

The State of SC was the 1st to secede on Dec. 20, 1860. General Beauregard was the Confederate commander of Charleston harbor for two years. The city of Charleston was bombarded for 587 days during the last two years of the war. Learn what life was like for the occupants of the city during and after the war. Visit the Edmonston-Alston House where Beauregard watched the 34 hour bombardment of Fort Sumter. See the Citadel Military College, whose cadets attempted to resupply Fort Sumter. You can also take a tour of the Magnolia Cemetery where the three submarine Hunley crews are buried.

African American Cultural Tour

The Lowcountry remains one of the few places in the United States where the indigenous African American culture, known as Gullah in South Carolina, has survived. Learn about the language, music, dance, food, basket makers, iron work and carpentry. After exploring the historic city, travel to Boone Hall Plantation where the African Americans lived and worked.

House and Garden Tour

There are five museum houses and gardens open for visitors to tour in the City. They encompass early Colonial, Federal, and Antebellum periods. These homes are filled with priceless antiques of each period and give the visitor the experience of life at each time period. Learn about the families and descendants that lived and preserved them. Culinary Tour

Enjoy the southern culinary culture of Charleston from a local’s point of view. Your guide will provide a memorable experience, combining Charleston’s 300 years of history and lowcountry cuisine. Lunch for 2 is also included at one of Charleston’s award winning restaurants. If the group is larger than 2 people, please add an additional $50/person to the tour admission.

Additional fees may apply for Plantation Tours, Christmas Tours and Culinary Tours. Admission is NOT included for the Plantation Tours. Call for details.

For groups larger than four, transportation can be arranged for an additional fee. Transportation by luxury auto is included up to six passengers.
